April 2014: Last Legacy Project
Developed over the course of this past year, patients desiring this beautiful memory book are interviewed by one of our volunteers about various aspects of their life. The interview stresses sharing of key moments and/or feelings the patients find most important in their life, making sure their values live on for their loved ones. As the cover of every Legacy book says, “Hospice of Warren Co’s. Lasting Legacy Initiative is designed to provide each participant with:Time for reflection, Enhancement of life’s significance and meaning, Ease of communication with loved ones, A tangible record of events, thoughts, advice, and love, and Whatever more the participant might want it to be. The move is the culmination of much thought and planning, focused on meeting the growing need to serve more patients and families in an environment providing both comfort and convenience for visitors, as well as efficiency for staff and volunteers. Vonnie Radecki, our Volunteer Bereavement Coordinator, was at the Warren Public Library providing information about programs and services to visitors.
